The Haiku is a Japanese form of poetry. Haikus must have exactly 17 syllables(not including the title), divided up like this:
Title- any amount of syllables First line- 5 syllables Second line- 7 syllables Third line- 5 syllables Haikus also usually don't have punctuation at the end of the sentence, and the sentences are usually incomplete, for example: Trees Towering above Leaves, pinecones, needles, flowers Swaying in the wind I hope this tutorial helped. You can name it based off of some of the lyrics of the song, or the message you want to get out, or where you found your inspiration, or anything you want, really! Do what you think is best! Writing lyrics!
If you're good at rhyming, this step shouldn't be too hard. However, it does take time. DON'T FORCE LYRICS! Wait for the right words to come to you. But remember, you can always edit them later! Step 4 of songwriting is choosing the layout of your song.

So most of the time my songs are: Verse 1 Bridge Chorus Verse 2 Bridge Chorus Verse 3(different than 1 and 2) Bridge Chorus Chorus Step 3 of songwriting isn't as easy as the others. This time, you have to come up with a tune.
The key to this step is experimenting! Be creative! Step 2 of songwriting is also very simple. Pick your tempo, or pace.
For example, I could pick fast-paced. Step 1 of songwriting is simple. Pick what you want to write about!
For example, I could choose to write a song about friendship. |
